#1 additional informations about my micro-servo's system

few r2 builders have asked me more information on my micro-servo's system.
so here are them :

you need an alu L bracket that you have to cut to get 2 inches length (approx. 5cm in metric) parts. take a 2" bracket and mark with a pen the size of your micro-servo and cut a window in the bracket to let the head of micro-servo pass through. For this work, i've used cutting disc with my dremel and a wood-chisel for the corners and it works fine.
When this window has been opened, insert the servo and drill 2 holes (2mm) to attach the micro-servo to your new bracket. (i've used M2 hardware to attach the servo to the bracket). Then i've drilled few holes in the custom bracket on the left and right and used a saw to get 2 slits where the screws goes to maintain the bracket to the dome (through the inner dome with countersinked holes, i've used M3 hardware for this)

now, you have your servo mounted on your bracket, you have to find something to operate the hinge.
I've chosen M3 hardware for the hinge and RC pushrods between the hinge and the servo
For the pushrods, i've ordered servo connector set from skyartec on Hobbygaga.com ( servo connector set on hobbygaga)

For the hinge side, i've used 2 x M3 threaded rods (10mm and 20mm) and 2 screws for  each side of the hinge (30mm and 6mm).
This hardware give you possible adjustments, either to maintain perfectly the connector or let the connector a little free as you want.
